So weather wasn’t the greatest. It worked to our advantage and the place was pretty empty of people.
It turns out the farm is just over 6 miles from our apartment. It has enough property and trees that you can barely see signs of city life once you’re inside.
D shared some giggles and laughter with some chickens. Speaking of chickens, the farm sells eggs and you can only buy 1 dozen. The line formed up around 11:30am and at 11:55am, they announce how many numbers they would give out. Today was 7. So they only had 7 dozen eggs available for sale (we got box number 5). They are pretty pricey but the demand for them seems really high and the chickens appear to be well taken care of. I don’t think I can get eggs any fresher without having to take care of any chickens.
We took in an animal show. Then headed over to the petting zoo. There were a lot of critters at the petting zoo but D was most interested in the tractor he could sit on and the corn kernel pit.
We skipped quite a bit of the farm so we’ll have to come back at least a few more times.
