Some grandpa and D time together.
The train was my dad’s when he was a kid. It’s a Louis and Marx & Co O gauge train (Engine 999 to get specific). Doing a quick google search shows this was a very popular toy made back in 1938 till the mid-1950s. So this train is very likely over 60 years old.
D enjoyed rolling it forward and back on the tracks.
Just got home and found these photos from my parents. It was a great Thanksgiving.
Friday, D spent the day and then the night with his grandparents. Saturday Olessia and I joined him at his grandparent’s house. He had fun running around and playing with the train.
Today we voyaged back to NYC. We weren’t as quick this time – it took 12 hours to get home versus 11 to get to Columbus.
As a note to my future self: Traffic was alright, although it started getting heavily congested 100 miles out from home (still in PA). It cleared a bit in NJ. GWB was NOT running smoothly but once we were across, traffic was normal.
