We spent the afternoon at the New York Hall of Science attending Maker Faire. It was our first time and an impressive event! Lot’s of things for the young adults to do and learn.
Probably the coolest thing I thought I saw at the event was the kiddie pools with water jets that were controlled by a kids electronic keyboard/piano. D enjoyed watching the water spray.
D got to meet R2D2!
We had fun watching the quadcopters running the obstacle course (and get stuck in the nets).
D tried his first popcorn and seemed to like it.
We had really good seats for the Coke+Mentos show. But it was late in the day and we needed to get home.
Overall, an excellent and creative event!
For these photos, I pulled out my aging Nikon D80 and the lenses I have that only work with it (and not the D5200). The autofocus was a bit of a struggle. When it did lock focus, the camera did do a pretty nice job.
