So, sort of an early Christmas gift to the family, we got a Roomba. This has been something Olessia has been interested for a while. Our Cleveland house had 3 levels and only a few rooms per level so it wouldn’t have been as useful (unless we got 3 Roombas or we hiked 1 Roomba up and down the stairs). Now that we’re in an apartment and D joined us, the Roomba seemed like it would be a lot more useful.

We unleashed the Roomba this morning and wow… We don’t have jet packs or flying cars, but this Roomba will do. It’s rather fun to watch to see where it goes next and how it manages to unjam itself when it gets stuck. And from the looks of it, it did a great job vacuuming too.

Our 1 cat seemed to be pretty intrigued with the Roomba and would follow it around. Our other cat, who hats vacuums and will run and hide, wasn’t pleased, but also wasn’t distressed enough to run and hide somewhere. I don’t think you will see any video from us with one of our cats riding a Roomba, as much as I would like to see that happen…
