Middlesex County Fair, NJ

It’s that time of the year for a county fair and was kind of jonesing for one. Olessia was game and with ended up at the Middlesex County Fair in NJ where we met up with Mer DelaFuente and Em. It was our first time going through Staten Island (we didn’t stop though). It was also the first time stopping in NJ where we weren’t at an airport or driving from one of NJ to the other. The area we were in reminded me a bit of Solon and Seven Hills mixed together and seemed rather nice.

So it was the pig racing and Pork Chop Revue that caught my interest. We missed out on seeing the pig racing but we did catch the Revue show. It was good. I think the goats might have stolen the show.

The food options were great. I tried deep friend Oreo cookies and drank way too much pop (or soda as it’s called here). There were a LOT of carnival rides (although we didn’t go on any). The 4H folks had a good showing of animals (chickens, lizards, rabbits, etc).

D had a great time looking at all the animals. Him and Mer seemed to kick it off and he settled right down when in her hands.

We had a fun time!
